When does the qualifier run?

18 September 2026, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM IST. You can register, sign in and build your team before that. The board opens the moment the countdown ends, and the clock in the board header is the truth.

I was sent an invite link. What do I do?

Open it. If you already have an account, sign in and you’ll be asked to join the team. If you don’t, register — you’ll be placed on the team automatically. No code to type.

The board says “Join or Create a Team First”.

This event runs in team mode. Open Team in the header, then create a team (a team of one is fine) or join one with the link or code from your captain.

Can I switch teams after the start?

No. Team changes are locked while the event is live, and an invite opened after the start says so. Settle your roster before 10:00.

My teammate solved a challenge. Why is it marked solved for me?

Scoring is per team: each challenge counts once, whoever solves it. The header shows your Team score and your own solve count, the challenge panel says who solved it, and Team breakdown on the scoreboard shows who took what. Only members of your team can see that breakdown.

“Too fast. Wait 9s.”

There is a ten-second cooldown per challenge between submissions. It stops brute force; think, then submit.

“Terminal Locked: Maximum attempts reached.”

Each challenge has an attempt limit set by the organisers. Once you hit it, that challenge is closed to you. Submissions refused during the cooldown do not count against it.

Do hints cost anything?

Yes. Each hint shows its price in points, and unlocking it deducts that from your points. You can’t unlock a hint you can’t afford. Unlocked hints stay open.

Where are the challenge files?

In the challenge panel under Attachments, with the size shown, or as a link in the brief. If a download stops partway, try again — the file is served from a cache. When a checksum is given in the brief, check it before you start.

I forgot my password.

There is no self-service reset. Email us from the address you registered with and we’ll sort it. If you registered with Google, just use “Continue with Google”.

“The verification widget could not load, so sign-in is blocked.”

Your browser could not reach challenges.cloudflare.com. An ad blocker, privacy extension, VPN or a locked-down network is the usual cause. Allow it for this site, or switch network, then press “Try again” above the sign-in button.

Finding things on the board.

Press / to jump to the search box, and use the category chips to filter. The difficulty rail on the left narrows the list further.

Where do announcements appear?

The Notifications bell in the header. It refreshes when you open it and every two minutes on its own, and a new announcement plays a short tone if sound is on.

Can I turn the sound off?

Yes — the speaker icon in the header, or Settings → Interface sound. It’s remembered on that device.

Something on the scoreboard looks wrong.

Before kickoff it shows Starts soon and lists registered teams without ranks; the podium appears with the first solve. During the event it refreshes every 15 seconds while you’re looking at it, and it may be frozen near the end (it says so at the top). If a solve is missing after a minute, email us with the team, challenge and time.
